In November 2005, from the day after Ivan's visiting the ENT doctor who suspected Ivan's nasopharynx cancer had recurred, Alice had been assigned as the spokeslady to send out e-mails to everyone who knew Ivan. The recipients might be from different peer groups, different countries, different ages, with different backgrounds.... but at the end of the day, all together, everyone who received the updates from Alice facing the process with everyone else. The following was the first e-mail when a prayer chain has been established.

Dear all,

 

Alice is a very good/close friend of Ivan.  She is the godmother of his children and she is a very friendly lady.  In order to let many more pray for Ivan and his family and not asking so much information from Ivan/his wife, Alice will serve as their spokeslady.  

 

We suggest that every night at 9:30 p.m. we will pray for him at your home.  Of course, you can pray all the time at any place.

 

Kindly share this information with those who knows Ivan.  Or even with those who does not know him but would like to pray for him.
